This is the inaugural release of Racehorse White. The Racehorse series is an
ode to our two biggest passions at RustRidge Ranch & Winery – artisan wine and
Thoroughbred racehorses.
The 2005 Racehorse White Napa Valley Chardonnay offers tremendous pedigree at a reasonable price. It is a richly layered and wonderfully structured Chardonnay. Aromas of apple, pear, a hint of kiwi, vanilla cream and stone minerals translate directly to the palate. These flavors meld into a creamy and rich texture followed by a long tropical finish. An ideal complement to pasta and polenta with cream sauces, white fish, calamari, scallops and even fried chicken.

*This wine is a blend of two different clones. The chardonnay from the Silverado Clone was cold fermented in stainless steel then transferred to oak barrels for 9 months. Before bottling, it was blended with barrel fermented chardonnay from the Wente Clone which had been in oak barrels for 1 year.
